Colour TV camera with light splitting optical system - has neutral grey filter movable in front of blue camera tube to compensate for unequal colour component response

The colour television camera splits incoming light by an optical system into its components for receipt by separate camera tubes. A transparent filter (12) can be moved in and out of position between the blue tube (9) and the blue-light output position of the optical system. - The filter is a neutral grey type and is mounted in a circular holder that also contains a plane glass window to allow the blue component to pass unfiltered. The filter permits lag effects to be reduced.
