The machine has an open C-shaped frame (2) in which the ram (5) carrying the tool holder (51) is reciprocated by a two-armed lever (3). The reciprocating movement is induced by a pneumatic cylinder (61) connected to the arm in a fulcrum (321). The extreme end of the arm (3) is connected to the damping device consisting of a cylinder (7) in which the piston (71) is operating. The piston is connected with the upper part of the cylinder by a spring (8). It is connected to the lower part by a further spring. The piston is fitted with a larger passage (711) with a flap at the top of the cylinder face and a smaller passage (712) with a flap on the bottom cylinder face. The piston operates in a hydraulic fluid.
