The tanks are separated by common side walls and the gantry running gear, instead of being aligned with the outermost walls, runs on a pair of symmetrical inner walls relative to the centre line, the track width being =80% of the overall width of the multiple tanks. The track width to overall width ratio is e.g. 1/2, 3/5, 1/3, or 2/3. The gantry may also be shorter than the overall width esp. half way between that and the track width. There is saving in cost of gantry and in ground space occupied.
