The union is particularly for plate radiators, having one or more openings connecting pipes to the radiator which is not parallel to the socket cross-section. It has one or more hollow spherical bodies adjacent to the socket, with radiator connection openings, and the end portion of the socket fits into this body. The mating faces of the nipples on the end of the pipe are chamfered, and fit onto faces on the radiator elements to make a watertight seal. The radiator elements are reinforced at this point, so that the whole assembly can be clamped together without distorting the radiator elements.
