Two-piece wrist watch strap, pref. made of leather, has each of the pieces, provided at their watch attachment ends with contact surfaces spaced from one another by a free space. One of the surface is provided with a 0.04-0.2 (0.1) mm. thick polyamide or polycarbonate fleece, coated on both sides with polyvinylether. One side is attached to the respective surface, which is coated with a vinyl polymer and the other is protected by a releasable backing paper. Vinyl polymer may include polyvinylether, PVAc, polyvinyl ester or PVA or polyvinyl acetal on removing of paper and folding over of contact surfaces about the spaces, the bond is instant and permanent.
