The beam type mole-plough attachment is mounted on wheels (56), may be towed by a tractor, and is for use in installing mole type subsoil drains in cohesive subsoils. The beam (10) has the tractor coupling and the mole (36) at its opposed longitudinal ends, and is suspended from a portal sub-frame (42). The frame (42) is perpendicular to the beam (10) locates a wheel (56) at the base of each leg, and attaches to the beam by a universal coupling (48, 50). The angular relationship between the beam (10) and the sub-frame (42) is adjustable. The universal (48, 50) coupling provides for pivoting movements of the sub-frame (42) about the beam (10). The frame (42) can pivot about two axes respectively parallel and horizontally perpendicular to the beam axis. Adjustment of the angular relationship of the frame (42) to the beam (10) takes place in a vertical planes passing through the beam axis, and is effected by an hydraulic ram (62) which extends between the beam and the frame.
