Moving coil voltage testing instrument - with buzzer circuit parallel to measuring circuit for short-circuit testing

The voltage testing instrument has a selector switch (9) for selecting the measuring range. There is a switch position for detecting a short-circuit using a measuring circuit (15, 15a) incorporating a buzzer (10) in parallel with the voltage measuring circuit (13, 13a). The tester housing (1) has a handgrip (2) at the bottom, with one of the contact probes (6) extending from the top of the housing (1), the other contact probe (5) extending from a further grip element (4) connected to the instr. houding (1) by a cable (3). Pref. a LED (17) is connected in parallel with the buzzer (10) so that both a visual and audible indication is provided.
