End feedthrough termination for water-cooled HV cable - has separate screens and terminations for HV conductor and cooling water

The termination has a head (7) connecting to the hv conductor (19) inside the casing containing insulating gas. The head consists of two axially-open metal screens (8, 9). One is associated with the cable termination (5) and the other with the cooling-water termination (6). The two screens are connected together via a metal tube (10). A circular baffle (11, 12) is located in the centre of each rotationally symmetric screen perpendicular to its axis. A plastic tube (16) axially closes the baffle (12) in the screen (9) of the water termination (6). This tube contains a helical water insulation path and has radial holes (17) evenly distributed around the periphery at its closed end.
