The cigarette case dispenses cigarettes at timed intervals. It consists of a closed box with a miniature clock (7) coupled to a selector mechanism (9). At predetermined intervals the selector mechanism releases the lock mechanism (11) via a set of levers (10, 10a) to allow a cigarette to be taken out. Out shutting, the lock mechanism re-engages automatically. It can be actuated mechanically or electronically by the clock. The clock, battery and switchgear can be encapsulated in one end of the case.
