Miniature electromagnetic relay with armature push-rod - has extension to operate changeover contact spring with long unit on static slot and short moving contact

The miniature relay has an armature operated changeover spring set. A push rod (4) from the armature moves the centre spring contact (5) to make contact with the outer unit (6) whenever the coil (3) is energised and the armature is pivoted up to close the magnetic circuit with the core. The changeover contact spring (5) has a long contact (1) on the 'rest' side against the spring contact (2), the non-energised position, and when operated has a short travel positive changeover action to the other contact (6). The springs are set at diagonal angles upwards from the base of the relay unit and the armature push rod (4) pushes across the full width of the top of the changeover spring (5).
