Windscreen washer fluid level warning device - has min. level sensor in fluid reservoir connected to petrol level warning circuit

The windscreen washer equipment is fitted with a low level warning system which lights up a bulb on the instrument panel when the fluid level falls below a certain mark. The fluid reservoir (15) is fitted with a low level sensor (16) with its output end connected by a wire (17) to the circuit (13) serving the petrol tank low level warning. When the fluid drops below a certain mark the sensor (16) makes contact and the bulb (14) on the instrument panel lights up. The reading on the car fuel gauge shows whether or not it is the washing fluid which needs topping up. If, after topping up washing fluid, the bulb (14) continues to be alight, it means that petrol too needs topping up, because sensor (16) for the washing fluid and sensor (12) for the petrol are connected in parallel to the line (13).
