The equipment indicates bio-electrical signals, being partic. for determining death at the scene of an accident etc. It has a number of test contacts to which a device is connected indicating the presence of these signals. It incorporates a generator whose output signal is altered in frequency by the biological signal. A switch can be included, actuated by the latter signal and operating an optical indicator. This equipment can be used when only, e.g. an arm or leg is accessible. Voltage from a power supply is fed to an astable flip-flop, a switching device and an indicator. The flip-flop and switching device are supplied by the bio-electrical signals determining the state of the former and closing the latter.
