The applicator is for adhesive or other fluid or paste materials. It consists of a container, with outlets in one wall, and an external covering. e.g. a foil, with apertures, the shape of which determines the pattern of application. The covering (2) has two or more rows (3, 4) of apertures. One row (3), which may contain a sinle aperture, is aligned with the outlets (6) in the wall (10). The other rows are covered by the container wall. The covering may be fastened to the container (5) in two or more staggered positions.
