The carburetter connection consists of two flanges (2, 3) placed one over the other. The outer peripheries of both flanges are square and the two squares are at 45 deg. to each other. Both flanges have a circular central opening. The upper flange (3) has a downturned lip round the central opening. The lower flange has an upturned lip coaxial with and radially outwards of the lip of the upper flange. The lip of the lower flange is cut in a series of segments (4), each of which fits into a slot (5) in the upper flange. This reduces the total depth required for the complete connection.
