The toner powder process photocopier has the residual toner removed from the process drum by the toner dispensing roller whose magnetic core draws the toner from the drum after the exposure and copying cycle. The toner powder is first discharged by having a flood lamp over the process drum in front of the roller. The flood lamp only operates in the cleaning cycle of the copier and is inhibited during image transfer and toner application. The toner is returned to the reservoir and high quality copies are assured. The copie does not require any separate cleaner. The cylindrical drum (12) is mounted centrally in the housing (2) and the corona discharge fittings (22, 34) are mounted at diametrically opposite positions on the drum.
