A muzzle for restricting a calf to drinking is pref. a semi-rigid hollow moulding of high density polyethylene incorporating a hoop insert of 3-6mm. dia. galvanised steel wire to reinforce the muzzle lip against the tension, etc. due to adjacent supporting straps. Pref. the muzzle walls are 2-4mm. thick and are perforated at frequent intervals.
