Cathodic protection device for pipes, heat exchangers etc. - where sacrificial zinc anode is located in bore of steel ring disk which can easily be inserted in pipe joints

The device is used to prevent the electrochemical corrosion of appts. carrying fluids, where the metal components in the appts. are protected by a sacrificial zinc anode located in a ring holder. The pref. anode is formed by a steel ring which can be inserted between two adjacent pipes and/or between the pipe elbows and pipes; and the bore of the ring contains a ring groove employed to locate a ring lining made of zinc. The sacrificial zinc ring can pref. be replaced in its steel holder, e.g. when repair or maintenance work is being carried out of pipes, heat exchangers etc.
