PURPOSE:To enable luminous indication in prescribed colors of explanation of the complicated constitution of a control device for the electric car and of electric circuits hard to understand because of high-degree application of electronics by constituting a luminous device so that it may make luminescence in different colors in accordance with control instructions. CONSTITUTION:When a control instruction 3a is given from an instruction device 3, a logic device 6 delivers luminescence instructions 6aR, 6aG-6kR, 6kG at prescribed timing and makes luminous elements 5a-5k luminous in red or green based on the control instrution 3a. For instance, after a chopper 1g in an indication panel 1 is lighted in red, 1a-1f and 1h are lighted in red in this order successively and thus the action of electrification at the time when the chopper is on is indicated with red luminescence like a flow. Next, after the chopper 1g is put off, the main smoothing reactor 1f is made luminous with the color being switched to green, while the others are all put off. Consecutively, 1i, 1j, 1k, 1d and 1e are made luminous in green in this order and thus the action of electrification at the time when the chopper is off is indicated in green like a flow. Thus, the operation of the control device for the electric car is indicated on the indication panel 1.
