PURPOSE:To make the performance of a copying machine much higher by controlling the clearance size between the contact glass which is fixedly set along a constant scanning direction and the press-contacting portions by the 1st press-contactor of the photoreceptor to desired accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A guide member 20 interposes between an original support 16 and a photoreceptor 12. The guide member 20 is of a slender block shape and is provided with respectively freely turnable rollers at both ends thereof. That is, a roller 21 as the 1st press-contactor which is in press-contact with the photoreceptor in a manner as to push it up and a roller 22 as the 2nd press-contactor which is in press- contact with the original support 12 in a manner as to push it down. Because of this, the photoreceptor 12 and the original support 16 are mutually attracted by the guide member 20 and the clearance size(d) between the press-contacting portions of the roller 21 and the photoreceptor 12 and the press-contacting portions of the roller 22 and the original support 15 is assured of a fixed value of high accuracy as far as the guide member 20 is moved parallel in a constant scanning direction.
