DRAWING AND PAINTING ELEMENT IN THE FORM OF SCHOOL CHALK FOR PRODUCING IMAGES ADAPTED TO BE FIXED BY THE USE OF HEAT

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAlthough it is known to produce images, writings ordrawings by the use of conventional chalks and crayons, suchimages cannot be permanently fixed by simple means. Therefore,enamels are sometimes used to produce a permanent image. How-ever, such enamels are expensive and require firing at hightemperatures. The present invention overcomes these problemsby providing a drawing and painting stick, in the form ofschool chalk, for producing images adapted to be fixed by theuse of heat. By means of such a stick, images, writing,drawings, and the like may be produced in the usual mannerupon a base and then be permanently fixed by the applicationof moderate temperatures. Thus, the drawing and paintingstick according to the invention allows the user to producedesigns or drawings as if conventional chalks were being used,and then to fix them permanently, very quickly and simply, sothat they adhere firmly and are impact-resistant. The stickcomprises a major proportion of a thermoplastic or heat-curable thermosetting synthetic resin composition togetherwith colouring matter including at least 5% by weight of thestick of pigment.
