ABSTRACTIn institutes for X-ray examination only one type of intensifyingscreen is generally used although various types of intensifying screensare at their disposal, which are specially attuned to the requirements ofspecific methods of examination. The reason for this might be that theautomatic timer with the prior art X-ray examining devices only permittedthe use of one intensifying screen. The invention enables the use ofdifferent types of intensifying screens without demanding more attentionfrom the radiologist.
