The positioning stall is for large animals such as cows and horses and is used for holding the animal for example during hoof care and veterinary examination. A carrier runs over the animal's back and is held on a front support while a U-profile frame is supported on the carrier and is adjacent to the two flanks and back side of the animal. At least one of the side sections of the frame is in the form of a swivel door which can be arrested in the closed position and is hinged to the middle section. This door is used to introduce the animal into the stall.
