New bis-diazacycloalkene derivs. are cpds. of formula (I) (where R' is H or 1-4C alkyl; and either Y is = N-N(R2)- and Z is -NR2-NH- or Y is =N-C(R2)=N- and Z is -NH-CR2=N-, R2 being H, CH3 or phenyl). (I) can be prepd. by reacting (II) with H2N-NHR2 then hydrolysing or by reacting (II) with H2N-CR2-NH then esterifying. (I) are pharmaceuticals with cardiovascular activity.
