The vehicle brake force control valve comprises a valve seat carrier (1) with sealing disc (2) capable of seating on an annular face (18) at the open end (3) of a duct (8) in a movable (10) piston (9). The carrier is axially movable and itself has an annular seat (14) for the other side of the disc (2), the inner diameter (d2) of this seat (14) being greater than the diameter (d1) of face (18). A central passage (16) in the disc (2) connects the duct (8) with the space (13) bounded by the seat (14) so that, when the valve is closed, the oil outlet pressure (pA) in the duct acts on the diameter (d2) whilst the inlet pressure (pE) acts on the annular surface area of the carrier olus disc minus the area of (d1). The disc can lift off the seat (14).
