The constructional system is for a bridge. A gradient of varying slope or curvature is a feature of the completed bridge, which is made of reinforced or prestressed concrete, running continuously through a number of spans. The superstructure is made at one end of the bridge in a straight line or with constantly curved radius for its gradient. It is thrust lengthways along the bridge, across piers appropriate to the height of the desired gradient, right up to its ultimate position. It is pref. constructed and forwarded in a series of adjoining sections, in a staged process. This simplifies work of forwarding bent gradient or varyingly curved bridge superstructures.
