The appts. punctures internal body organs and vessels, using a syringe needle and an ultrasonic applicator producing an echo sectional view. An aiming aid with guide slot for the needle is provided in the applicator. This aid consists of an insertion slot (6) for the needle (7), open or easily opened on one side of the applicator. This slot lies in a plane whose extension intersects that (4) in which the applicator acts ultrasonically. The width of the insertion slot can be variable so as to regulate the amount of friction against the needle on insertion, while when the latter has reached the puncturing point the applicator can be easily removed from the needle without friction or shaking.
