The foot switch movement (15) may be either pneumatic or electrical and is housed within a one piece 'U' shaped foot pedal (10,11). The top plate (11) of the 'U' is the foot pedal pressed down against the fixed base (10) so that a depression (20) in the top plate exactly matches and presses onto the closing valve (18,19) of the pneumatic switch unit (15). The end unit (16) of the pneumatic switch (15) is connected to a tube (22) extension and reducing tube (23) which achieve a pneumatic advantage by 3-2way or 5-2way valves. The switch unit (15) may be a microswitch. The equipment is intended for controlling machinery.
