The equipment supports a patient during an operation on an extremity, particularly a hand, having a couch to which an oblong table is connected, supporting the extremity. The table (26) has, roughly at the middle of its end towards the couch (10), an axis parallel to the transverse axis (24) of the latter, on which it tilts, and by which it is attached to the couch. It can be lockable in relation to the couch at any angle to which it is set, and the tilt axis can be slightly below the top surface of the table. The table can also be arranged to slide parallel to the lengthwise axis of the couch, being lockable in the desired position.
