The wind motor has a vertical shaft. On its rotary plate is a horizontal shaft on which a rotatable vane is fitted with a pivot range from 0 to 90 degrees. The vane is maintained upright by a torque produced by a lever arm and a weight. The pivot range is limited by a rotary plate stop at the lower end and by a swivelable stop on a tube at the upper limit.
