The metal chip waste (31) is deposited in front of the feed end of the crusher and is periodically fed by a grab (29) travelling on an overhead rail (30). The grab (29) drops the waste into a hopper (12), hinged on one side to the machine frame, while the other side is resting by an extending bracket (18) on a set of springs (20). The bracket (18) is under the action of a vibrating device (19). The bottom (14) of the hopper (12) is perforated with holes allowing the finer fractions of the metal waste to pass through and drop through a chute (25) into the transport container (11). The vibrating movement of the hopper (12) removes larger particles through slot (a), chute (26) into container (27), from where they are removed for crushing.
