Articulated semi-trailer for road use - has intermediate chassis to carry accessories mounted on tractor and locked to semi-trailer chassis

The articulated semi-trailer has an intermediate chassis (12) to support accessories between it and the tractor. The intermediate chassis fixing (13) to the tractor is standard type. The locking for the intermediate chassis to the trailer is by locking devices on the upper part of the chassis joining with openings in the upper face of the intermediate chassis. The weight of accessories which can be carried is of the order of 500 kg. Separate transport costs for these are avoided.
