The system is used for controlling and monitoring the reaction time of the motor vehicle driver. It generates signals to which the driver is obliged to respond on monotonous stretches of road. This improves safety in travel. The brake, direction indicators, gear drive, clutch, light signals and brakes control the delay of the signal requiring driver attention. When these monitored operating elements are not actuated, for example on long, straight stretches, then a demand signal is generated after a certain time period. If the driver does not respond to such a signal with required reaction, then a warning signal is generated and subsequently an alarm signal noticed also around the vehicle.
