Locking mechanism for work tables - is used in bending machines and has eccentric cam-type clamps for table and radial arm

The locking mechanism, esp. for bending machines consists of a rotatign table (5) mounted on ball bearings. The lower part of the table base has a rim (2) which can be engaged by an eccentric cam (9) by means of a spring and hand lever (11, 10) mounted on the stationary base plate (1). A radial arm (7) is mounted so that it is free to move around the periphery of the work table. This arm is fitted with an eccentric cam locking device (12, 14) which operates on the edge of the table. The work table and clamping arm can thus be locked in any position relative to each other over an arc of virtually 360 deg. A ratchet wheel and pawl arrangement may also be used.
