The independent vehicle wheel scotch is placed on a rough surface such as a corrugated ramp of a vehicle carrier. The rear of the scotch can be locked in a hole or a protrusion. The scotch is of one or two bent rods (1,2). These are held together to leave the rear locking part (7). One part (6) is wound to form a spring to give the assembly longitudinal flexibility. The front part (8) forms a pincer to grip the wheel on the ground by transverse extensions (9).
