The unit dries wet steam and then superheats the dried steam, having a horizontal cylindrical vessel with a wet steam inlet and a hot steam outlet, together with a water separator and superheater inside. The separator (4) and the superheater (5) are mounted one behind the other in the axial direction of the vessel. The design avoids the need for passing the wet steam along the entire vessel length with consequent risk of corrosion, and also unequal thermal loading.
