RECORDING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH CONTROLLER FOR DEVIATION OF ENDLESS BELT-SHAPED RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To make the constitution of a recording device simple and small-size, by detcting the deviation of an endless belt-shaped recording matemial through detection pattern regions at edges of the recording material by reflective photosesnsors and performing the control to correct this deviation. CONSTITUTION:Detection patterns 17a and 17b different in light reflectance from an endless belt-shaped recordig material 2 are provided at both edges of the recording material 2, and a deviation in the direction orthogonal to the running direction of the recording material 2 is detected by reflective photosensors 18a and 18b facing to the recording material 2. The deviation of the recording material 2 is corrected through a control circuit in accordance with their detection signals. Consequently, the recording material 2, driving rollers 3 and 4 for the recording material 2, etc. do not require a high precision, and the recording device is simple and small-size.
