SIMULTANEOUS MEASURING DEVICE FOR BODY-WEIGHT AND HEIGHT

PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and inexpensive device which measures and displays body-weight and height irrespectively of the tilting of a tread by connecting the bottom part of a measuring column supported slidably in approximately a vertical direction and the tread provided in the upper part of a body-weight meter by means of a universal joint. CONSTITUTION:A body-weight meter 1 is secured to the bottom plate 3 of an outside box 2. A tread 4 is mounted to the top plate 6 of the meter 1 by providing a clearance 5 from the box 2. A measuring column 8 of a height meter 7 is held freely slidably in approximately a vertical direction into tubular bodies 18, 19 mounted to a support plate 17 fixed to the box 2. A base 12 holding a ball 13 freely turnably is bolted at 11 to the tread 4, and further the screw part 14 provided to the ball 13 is inserted into a lower plate 9 and secured to the plate 9 by means of nuts 15, 16. Then, when a person to be examined rides on the tread 4, the intricate tilting movements of the tread turn around the ball 13 of a universal joint 10 and the ball 13 moves by carrying the column 8 by as much as the extent of sinking of the tread 4 in the vertical direction.
