The road tanker comprises one or more tanks each having a downwardly converging outlet (9) funnel (8) on its underside which is provided with a connection (11) for supplying a pressurised air flow into the funnel. Baffle plate (9) forming a narrow air gap (10) on the inside of the funnel wall, directs the air flow from the connection (11) along that wall. Part of this wall may be formed by a separately fitted cover plate (not shown).
