An arrangement for recovery of energy from warm waste gases esp. moist flue gases such as from the burning of peat, chips, bark is described. There is a heat exchanger arranged in a heat exchanger chamber, through which the warm gases flow. A fine spray of water is sprayed into the chamber to remove the heat from the gases. The quantity of cooling water is controlled so that the gas temp. does not exceed the condens. temp. The heating water is collected, cleaned and removed for recovery of the heat energy. Used for recovering heat from waste gases. (Provisional Basic previously advised in Week E36).
