METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MEDIUM CONCRETE PART FOR WATER CONSTRUCTION

The core area of the concrete parts is filled with a concrete with coarse-grained aggregate and low cement content. In contrast, the marginal areas are filled with a finer-grained aggregate and a higher cement content. The concrete parts are moderately prestressed by prestressing elements, and in fact a partial prestress of 20 to 50 % of the final prestress is applied to the prestressing elements before the greatest temperature difference is reached between the core temperature and the temperature in the marginal areas approximately at the time of the transition of the concrete from its gel-like state into the rigid state. The method permits a reduction in the thermal stresses occurring and an increase in the abrasion resistance.
