12 48,164ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn electromagnetic contactor comprising station-ary and movable contacts with electromagnetic means formoving the moving contact to the closed position with thestationary contact, said means comprising a U-shapedmagnetic core, an armature, and coil means for the core,the coil means comprising a pickup winding, a holdingwinding, and a bridge rectifier, container means compris-ing three portions of a uniform non-metallic insulatingmolded shell, one portion of which is around one leg ofthe U-shaped core, the other portion of which is aroundthe other leg thereof, and the third portion being adja-cent to said two portions, and the pickup and holdingwindings being in the one and other portions of said shellrespectively and the rectifier being in said third portion.
