ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA process is provided for inhibidng the formation of depositsin the course of pulping lignocellulosic material and in the treating ofcellulose pulp, by addition to the cellulose pulping or treating processof a compound of a polyvalent metal selected from the group consistingof aluminum and iron complexing deposit-forming anions, therebymaintaining the deposit-forming anions in the form of a liquor-solublecomplex.
