The bearing consists of a cup-shaped sleeve, surrounding the universal joint journal with an intermediate slide insert of plastics or similar. The insert consists of a conventional U-shaped element (2), and has a ring section (3) with longitudinal grooves (6,7) in the jacket and/or bore area. The open insert end, projecting over the sleeve, has an extension (5) with one or more integral sealing lips (5,5'). The lips are in contact with the sleeve and/or the journal (1). The base (4) of the insert is inclined and it has a conical and an arched section.
