Explosion proof hand-lamp with battery terminal - has light metal cast housing with external, protective envelope of non-metallic, wear resistant material

The hand lamp has a pressure-proof housing with a glass disc behind a protective grid. It is intended for work illumination in underground passages and sewage systems. The housing (1) is cast of light metal with an external enclosed protective envelope (8) of non-metallic material with high wear resistance. In the housing is fitted a halogen incandescent lamp (16) for more than 5V, preferably 12V. Typically, the protective envelope is formed by a layer of rubber vulcanised onto the housing. The latter may have a formed handle (9), also covered by the protective envelope. The handle may consist of two jaws, coupled by a grip bar (11). The bushing for the connecting cable (13) is fitted between the two jaws behind the grip bar. The protective grid (5) may be also a cast component whose centre is formed by a free annular surface, surrounded by a ring.
