Base supports for shelf bases etc. include a plug-in pin which can be inserted into a receiving bore in the side wall of a furniture unit which includes a seating for the shelf base. The plug-in pin (4) is connected through a centre piece support (6) to two clamping pins (7,8) positioned axis parallel but at a distance to each other and to the plug-in pin (4) which support the shelf base between them. The centre piece support (6) is made as a flat piece located in the plane of the furniture side wall with the plug-in pin projecting on one side and the two clamping pins (7,8) projecting on its other side.
