The poultry manure dryer has an integral rotating cylinder (1) supplied with drying gas from a nozzle (12) at one end and a screw feeder (4) with its supply hopper (3) at the same end. The inside of the cylinder has baffle plates (16) made from flat plates, which are twisted along their length and welded to the inside of the cylinder. The angles of some baffle plates is such that the product is tumbled over backwards against the main flow. The outside cylinder (2) has also fixed helical plates to guide the product to the outlet hopper (10).
