This invention relates to a lightweight power driven garden cultivator designed to perform the same task as a garden spade or fork, the cultivator having spring loaded or counter balanced telescopic anchor legs 13 which locate the equipment in a fixed position whilst cultivating and absorb the counterforces produced by the action of the power driven rotors 24. Such an arrangement allows the equipment to demand the minimum physical effort from the operator. IMAGE
