METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FEEDING OF FLOCCULATING AGENT IN WATER PURIFICATION PLANT

PURPOSE:To decrease the amt. of the flocculating agent to be used and to improve quality of treated water by feeding an alkali agent in the prescribed range of the alkalinity of raw water and the pH of flocculated water changed according to the turbidity of the raw water then feeding the flocculating agent. CONSTITUTION:In a method for feeding a flocculating agent in water purification plants, the region of a water quality index is changed according to the turbidity of raw water. More specifically, the prescribed range of at least the alkalinity of the raw water and the pH of the flocculated water is changed according to the turbidity of the raw water and the rate of feeding of an alkali agent is so controlled as to attain said prescribed range. The rate of feeding of a flocculating agent is thereafter controlled according to the concn. and alkalinity of the raw water.
