PURPOSE:To smoothly perform anchor lifting work by providing at the stem section, an anchor recess that is formed into a tapered surface whose bottom is raked up toward the stem and whose both sides approach to the hull center and whose joint with the hull outside plating of each surface is formed into an arcuate surface. CONSTITUTION:An anchor recess 15 that is formed into a raked surface whose bottom 15A is raked upward toward the upper deck of the hull center and that is formed into a tapered surface whose both sides 15B and 15C approach to each other toward the upper deck of the hull center is provided at the stem section. The joints of each of the surfaces 15A to 15C with the side plating 3 are formed into an arcuate surface 16, respectively. When the anchor is lifted by means of a chain 6, it can be smoothly lifted up without having each of the tips 1A of the anchor engaged with the hull. If an oscillating head 17 is provided on the bottom 15A of the anchor recess 15, the anchor drop work can easily be performed.
