NON-EXPANDED ANTISTATIC SYNTHETIC RESIN PRODUCT

PURPOSE:A non-expanded antistatic synthetic resin product freed of troubles due to charging, prepared by mixing a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin with carbon black. CONSTITUTION:At least 10pts.wt. carbon black is added to 100pts.wt. thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin. When the amount of carbon black added is smaller than 10pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. resin, no satisfactory effect can be obtained, whereas when it is above 70pts.wt. there is no increase in effect, so that an effect corresponding to the amount used can not be obtained and, in addition, lowering in physical properties such as strength, becomes marked. Therefore, the upper limit of the amount of carbon black added is preferably 70wt%. In addition to the above-stated carbon black, a quat. ammonium salt of the formula R4NX, (wherein R is an alkyl or aryl) can be used as an antistatic agent to obtain an additional effect.
